to go or not to go...

that is the question that i was asking myself this evening...i worked until 8.30 tonight...i left work with the attitude like, "i am not going, its late and i am tired". Then i started thinking and this is what training and pushing yourself to the limit is all about. Even if you don't want to go, you have to go. So, i went to the gym. I only went for about an hour, but i went. Ran a mile and a half on the treadmill..BORING..and lifted...FUN!

this is a short entry, but i wanted to express that its not all fun sometimes. There are days when the last thing i want to do is go to the gym or go for a run.

If you ever want to train for something, no matter what it may be, you have to be dedicated and strict with yourself. You have to WANT it...

Ryan weighing in from Denver...

Ok. So this is Ryan Igleheart, also posting under the name 'Sarah and Lauren'. Cause I've always wanted to be tough like them(see their first post). Not a girl, but tough. I am going to use this site to motivate me to actually train. For those of yu who don't know, I just moved from NYC to Denver. It's cold out here, I work long hours, and then on the weekends I end up skiing and snowboarding rather than . That's my confession, but I'm afraid the only way to absolve myself is to stop complaining and get down to it. So in the spirit of turning over a new leaf, I woke up this morning and ran 4 miles before work, which was a good start. Hope everyone is doing well, and please respond and yell at me to train- I appreciate the help! Take it easy! Happy training Lauren, Sarah, and Danielle!

Welcome!

Well Lauren and I have decided that we wanted to share our training with the world...so fucked in philly it is!

Todays training was especially special. It consisted of a 5 mile run with a few pit stops (explained later).

We got ready for the run in our "tough chicks" MATCHING gear (yes we dress like twins for our workouts on a regualr basis...it is all coincidental..i swear), which included a bandana and sunglasses...so we look tough!

The run got off to a slow start, still being a bit sore from our 20 mile bike ride on saturday...and a few days off from running. We ran our normal route...and then continued to stretch it out a little...we dared to do 5 MILES!!! We got through the center of milford and this is when we began to get tired...and the first pit stop was upon us.

The first stop was at "Pink on the Harbor: a Lilly Pulitzer flagship store". Now there is a cute sight...two TOUGH chicks walking around a Lilly store...dripping in sweat...FABULOUS!
We spent a nice 20 minutes in there and then decided it was time to get going.

We proceeded to continue our run on a woodsy trail...which was not so woodsy. I don't know, but something about the trails in the woods behind the library seems odd...considering the woods are less than one square mile...pathetic!

Now we are back on the road and on the way home...ahhh...Gulf Street...our favorite. Everytime we run down this street we pick out the houses that we love and the houses that have "great potential". This part of the run was tough..we decided to go with intervals of walking and running.

After all of that we finally made it home...safe and sound..and a little sore!
Boy how we love ice...and icy hot :)

Until next time...
